The Army's Point System, published in the Yank, an Army weekly newspaper 1945.

 

Like many families during WW-II, the parents of Sergeant James Ricci saved newspaper articles that told of their son's 82nd Division exploits.
   This link covers the invasion of Sicily. John Thompson, a correspondent with the Chicago Daily Tribune, tells the story.
